A Foundation Built on Compassion and Care
Our Story
Dar-us-Shifa Foundation was founded by Mr. Mustafa Noor, a retired banker who went through kidney failure, dialysis, and a kidney transplant along with his wife. That experience showed him how expensive dialysis really is, and how many families end up turning to unproven treatments and unlicensed healers simply because they can’t afford real medical care.
To change that, he set up a free dialysis center for patients who couldn’t pay for treatment on their own. What began as a single facility has since grown into a foundation running four projects across Karachi, serving thousands of patients and students every year, all without charging a single rupee.
Our Mission
To provide free healthcare and free education to those who need it most, so that no kidney patient loses their life for lack of funds, and no child misses out on school because their family can't afford it.
Our Vision
A Karachi where dialysis and education are never out of reach because of income, where every patient is treated with dignity, and every child gets the chance to learn no matter their family's financial situation.
Simple, Direct and Impactful
We keep our work simple and direct. Every donation goes straight into running our dialysis center and funding our education projects, with no red tape standing between a donor and the person they’re helping.
Patients are registered after a proper medical check-up and treated under full doctor supervision, with medicines, injections, and lab tests all included at no cost. Students are enrolled in local schools or our own home-school centers, with tuition and expenses covered for as long as they need support. Help should be easy to reach and free of conditions, and that’s exactly how we’ve built every project we run.

Our Values
Compassion
We treat every patient and student the way we'd want our own family treated, with patience, respect, and genuine care.
Transparency
Donors deserve to know where their money goes. We keep our projects clear and accountable, so every contribution can be traced back to real impact.
Dignity
Free care should never come with a loss of dignity. Every patient and student who comes to us is treated as an equal, not as a charity case.
Consistency
We've kept our doors open since 2005 without a single break, and we plan to keep it that way for as long as families need us.
