Free Dialysis & Free Education in Karachi

A Foundation Built on Compassion and Care
Dar-us-Shifa Foundation is a trust-based, non-profit charitable institution dedicated to serving Karachi’s most vulnerable communities. Operating since 2005, our Dialysis Center provides 100% free dialysis treatment including medicines, injections, and lab tests ensuring no kidney patient is ever denied care due to financial hardship. Alongside healthcare, we run four dedicated education programs, giving free schooling to hundreds of children and working girls who would otherwise be left behind. Guided by compassion, transparency, and service, Darusshifa believes that healthcare and education are rights, not privileges extending dignity, support, and hope to every patient and student who walks through our doors.
“Our mission is to provide free health and free education services to all ensuring that no kidney patient perishes for lack of funds, and no child remains out of school for lack of means.”
How We're Making a Difference
From life-saving dialysis to life-changing education every program we run is built around one goal: no one should suffer for lack of means.
Health and Education for Those Who Need It Most
Dar-Us-Shifa Dialysis Center
For a kidney patient, dialysis isn’t optional it’s the difference between life and death, three times a week. Since 2005, we’ve run 21 modern dialysis machines at our North Nazimabad facility, treating every patient under a Consultant Nephrologist’s supervision, with medicines, injections, and lab tests all provided free.
No consultation fee, no procedure charge, no patient turned away. Running this Center costs roughly PKR 3.5 million a month covered entirely by donations and Zakat from supporters in Pakistan and abroad.

Shifa Habiba Halim School
Orangi Town is one of Karachi’s most underserved neighborhoods, where thousands of children never see a classroom simply because their parents can’t afford fees, books, or uniforms. Shifa Habiba Halim School was built to change that.
Here, children receive structured, quality education completely free many for the first time in their family’s history. Beyond academics, the school offers something equally vital: a safe environment and the belief that their future can look different from their present.

Shama Home Schools
Across Orangi Town, many young girls leave school early because their families need them to work. Shama Home Schools was built for them a network of 15+ home-based centers where girls can study around their work schedules instead of giving up on education entirely.
Today, over 200 students study free year-round up to matric level, sitting official Board Exams alongside mainstream students. For many, this is their only path to a matriculation certificate and to a future beyond manual labor.
